Aurora was founded in 1997 by a team of experienced engineering and business professionals and began operations in 1998. Aurora introduced a succession of three panel LCOS products and today offers 0.7 inch and 0.55 inch products in both 720p and 1080p resolution for high definition projection solutions.
Aurora¡¦s core competencies have been extended to mobile viewing solutions. Our single panel, color field sequential products meet demanding form factor requirements and incorporate advanced image processing to enable superb image quality with low power consumption.
Aurora also offers single panel phase modulators for telecom and holographic projection (diffractive) applications. These solutions include 0.55 inch 720p and a 0.55 inch 1080p phase modulators and offer excellent image quality via improved diffractive angles and multi-level holograms. Holographic projection offers a low cost, low power, always-in-focus solution.
Aurora holds 39 patents and has 17 patents pending. These patents cover digital LCOS, digital LCOS driving algorithms, LCOS panel manufacturing, and LCOS optical engine design.
